[theqoo] 82MAJOR HWANG SUNGBIN'S APOLOGY

Hello, this is Hwang Sungbin from 82MAJOR.

First of all, I sincerely apologize for the discomfort and disappointment I caused many people regarding my past personal social media account.

Back when I was a student just starting out in music, I once came across a song by an artist that piqued my interest. Out of simple curiosity, I would “like” each new release from them. However, I now realize that I did so without fully understanding the messages and meanings behind that music. This clearly reflects my lack of awareness, and in hindsight, it was extremely thoughtless of me.

Additionally, the rap I performed at a concert was intended to highlight a unique side of one of our members, but I failed to consider the weight of the words I used. As a result, I ended up making people uncomfortable.

To the fans who supported me and to those who have cared for our team, I offer my sincere apologies for letting you down. As a singer, I feel deeply ashamed and have come to fully realize how much responsibility each of my words and actions carries.

I will take this incident as an opportunity to reflect more deeply, and I promise to be more thoughtful and careful in my behavior moving forward.

To everyone who felt uncomfortable or hurt because of this, I once again sincerely bow my head and apologize. I am truly sorry.

Context: He liked a song called "Republic of South Korea D*ed" on Soundcloud before debuting about dissing Moon Jaein (liberal)'s government

Lyrics:

The country where I was born and raised, South Korea,
Fifty million people consumed by a virus.
We seem unsure of who to blame
But you know, don’t you?
A foolish government.

They say history repeats itself,
But we, quick to boil over, never take responsibility.
What about you? Of all the promises they made
Have you ever stopped to wonder if they’ve kept any?

At some point, character became just another spec.
Money and numbers go one way, the human heart another.
They’ve killed the country, yet my mom is still a huge fan of his.
And I, who must become rich, am in a coma.
My eyes, once young and wide, now sunken and lost.

A composite photo of a president who seemed really kind.
I was 26 when I understood the reason.
I absolutely cannot understand the hypocrisy of the leftists who love to mock.
When there are many closed stores, coughing,
The Supreme Court justices in the corner
blame Daegu. How funny.

The hands that held candles are thrown away toward their own people.
The Sewol ferry, which fought endlessly with itself a few years ago, is sad,
but the body that was dragged to the North
is burned and raised from the water,
and it ends with one report that it defected to the North.

Is this a country?
It's like I've never experienced it before.
Are you stupid too?
If you're going to protect this f*cker, don't be around me.
The most serious time in the Republic of Korea
I was born and raised
