[theqoo] LEE HYORI "I WON'T USE IVF EVEN IF THE BABY DOESN'T COME OUT... ONE WORD SPARKS CONTROVERSY IN COMMENTS"

"Lee Hyori, "Even if the baby doesn't come out... No to IVF""

Singer Lee Hyori (47) is making headlines for her honest thoughts about having children.

Recently, a post titled "If Lee Hyori's baby comes naturally..." was uploaded to an online community and drew widespread attention.
The post referenced a past appearance by Lee Hyori on the MBC Every1 variety show "The Oppa of the Tteokbokki House," where she openly shared her thoughts about having a second one (children).

At the time, she said about her plans, "I don’t want to go as far as IVF. I don’t want to rely on medical assistance."

Don't speak so carelessly. Do you even know how many of our children were born with the help of science? How can you say something like that? And do you realize how arrogant it sounds? Are you implying that children conceived through IVF were never meant to be born and were brought into this world forcibly and artificially? That's truly an insolent remark. My son, too, was born 23 years ago through the very method you speak of, and today, he is proudly serving on the front lines, protecting our nation's defense. Don't speak your thoughts so recklessly. That's what we call thoughtless rambling.

Wow… I'm a mother of two boys conceived naturally, but moms going through IVF go through so much hardship and wait so long for their babies. Comments like this are so discouraging. It seems like she tried to get pregnant but couldn’t. Is this some kind of inferiority complex??

This is an article that will sadden those who are struggling and trying hard through IVF... As a celebrity and public figure, she should be more careful with her words.

She partied and did whatever she wanted when she was young, and now she says she won't do IVF??? Our country is struggling so much with low birth rates, and even people with financial means are acting like this... Is there really another celebrity who has such a negative influence? She shouldn't be allowed on TV anymore.

I was so put off by Lee Hyori that I immediately unsubscribed from Market Kurly and deleted the app

Please tell her to cover up her tattoos better when appearing on TV. It's very uncomfortable.

If she's saying no to IVF, then I don't think she truly longs for a child. She's just speaking from a place of privilege. Enough with these clueless comments pretending to be thoughtful.

It's their personal choice, so no one can really say anything, but since she’s a public figure, couldn’t she have been a bit more thoughtful? Even right now, there are countless couples desperately hoping for a baby, spending money and time on treatments, going to work while injecting themselves in the stomach.
If she had just said something like, “Because of my age, the chances with treatment aren’t high and I don’t have the courage to start, so I’m hoping for a natural pregnancy,” then no one would have felt hurt or angry. It seems like she made that comment publicly because people around her kept suggesting treatment but even if you say the same thing, you could say it more carefully.

1. Wow people are so triggered ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ ;;;

2. The epitome of overreacting..

3. Then why don't you try to have a kid yourself?

4. What she said is totally normal though... Isn't it better if she can't give birth, then she will just not try to and continue to live her happy life

5. If she can't give birth naturally, she's not obliged to find other ways to give birth though, it's her choice

6. She's allowed to think that way. What's the big deal?

7. That's her own values, why are people complaining?

8. This is shocking... I don't understand this overreactions; Lee Hyori fighting

9. It's been a while since I've seen a post with over 2000 comments..

10. Hyori unnie, don't listen to these weirdos
