[theqoo] STARSHIP'S DEBUT'S PLAN NOTICE ABOUT PAEK JUNHWAN'S WITHDRAWAL

Hello, this is Starship Entertainment.
We would like to provide guidance regarding the departure of cast member Park Junhwan from [Debut’s Plan].

The rumors about Park Junhwan that have recently been spreading online are completely untrue. We have clearly verified, through his full academic records and statements from school officials, that Park Junhwan is a diligent and responsible student. Additionally, we have identified activity from accounts impersonating former classmates in anonymous open chat rooms and online communities, and we have secured objective evidence indicating impersonation.

However, due to baseless rumors, malicious slander, and a flood of harmful comments, Park Junhwan, who is a minor, has been experiencing emotional distress that is too severe for him to endure. The situation has recently deteriorated to the point where it is seriously affecting his daily life.

We have been working with medical professionals to support his psychological recovery, but after Park Junhwan sincerely expressed his desire to step away from group activities, we have decided to respect his wishes and allow him to take sufficient time for rest.

Starship Entertainment will continue to offer full support so that Park Junhwan can recover his health and pursue new dreams beyond being a member of IDID.

Meanwhile, we will take legal action against the original posters and those involved in spreading malicious comments, false information, and s***lly ha**ssing remarks about a minor. This will be based on the Information and Communications Network Act (Articles 44-7, 70, and 74), as well as the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles from Se***l A**se, among others. Online s***al ha**ssment and defamation of a minor are serious crimes, and we will not tolerate such actions under any circumstances.

We sincerely apologize to the fans for causing concern and promise to do our utmost to protect the rights and honor of our artists.

Although Park Junhwan did not make his debut, we ask for your kind understanding and continued support for his decision and his future path. Please continue to show warm interest and encouragement.

Letter of Reflection

I sincerely apologize for causing serious harm to Park Junhwan, his family, his agency, and his fans by spreading false rumors about him.

At the time, I irresponsibly spoke of unverified stories circulating online and on social media as if they were facts. I also carelessly used expressions that implied things about Park Junhwan's private life and dreams, severely damaging his honor and image.

Through this incident, I have come to deeply realize how wrong my actions were. I feel a strong sense of responsibility and am truly remorseful for the emotional pain Park Junhwan had to endure, the shock to his family, and the difficulties caused to his agency. I apologize for my thoughtless behavior, which stemmed from a lack of understanding and awareness of the situation.

From now on, I will be more mindful of my actions and words, and I will strive to live with caution and a strong sense of responsibility to ensure this never happens again.

Once again, I deeply reflect on and apologize to Park Junhwan, his family, the agency, and all involved for the great harm caused by my careless and reckless remarks. I will take this incident as a serious life lesson and reflect on it deeply.
