[instiz] IF YOU'VE HAD THIS EXPERIENCE, YOU'RE TRULY A GOLDEN SPOON

Family trips overseas
This is seriously something that proves you're a golden spoon
Looking at stats from my friends, excluding solo trips, those who frequently go on overseas trips with their families are definitely gold spoons

The reason this is so difficult is:
1. The family needs to have a good relationship (i.e., no money-related conflicts)
2. Since the parents are older, they have to stay at a hotel
3. You need financial stability for airfare, hotel, food, and all the other costs

Q: "I go every year, but I'm not a gold spoon?"
A: No, you're not a gold spoon, you're a diamond spoon. Your less privileged friends can’t even imagine doing family trips abroad.

Family overseas travel is seriously high-level stuff.

1. But you can still go to cheap spots like Vietnam... I guess I can go to create an illusion of being a golden spoon

2. But doing a domestic family trip isn't the same cost as an overseas family trip ㅠㅠ

3. Before becoming an adult, I couldn't even dream of traveling overseasㅠ

4. I can agree to a certain extent. Because my family has never been to a family trip...ㅎ

5. I'm 30 now, and I've never been to a single family trip

6. Really?? When I was younger, I would go to Europe with my family so often

7. I totally agree

9. To be honest, Japan and Southeast Asia are pretty accessible and have lots of travel deals, so I don’t really think much of those. But I have a friend who travels to small towns in Europe every year for two weeks, renting a car and all that. She says she’s just average, but she’s never worked a part-time job in college, and her parents bought her a brand-new car as a graduation gift… As for the trip, she only pays for accommodations, and her parents cover everything else like flights, spending money, shopping, etc.
Her parents haven’t even retired yet, but they still manage to take 2–3 weeks off, which isn’t easy.
So yeah, I kind of relate to OP

10. I've only been once... To Jeju-do
