[theqoo] SM WHO HELD MARK'S BIRTHDAY EVENT IN A PUBLIC SPACE WITHOUT PRIOR CONSULTATION

Mark was turning 26 so he prepared a treasure hunt to find 26 of his favorite items 


"Mark's birthday event
1. Find his favorite treasured items...
2. Prepared smile cookies at the Tim Hortons birthday cafe"

He talked about 3 spots where you can find stickers through the map that he prepared




He revealed that the event would start from 9am but the majority of fans ended up showing up before that
But the park's staff who arrived here even before the fans... 



"I arrived that 6:30am to help the other Mark fans but SM actually stuck (the stickers) up secretly f*ck ㅜㅜ The grandpa staff told us to get out because it was illegal, this is so bad;;;"

We were already suffering so much because it was so hot that weekend 
[The staff] said the people who had the responsibility to prevent this didn’t do their job,
and that the ones who planned it must be out of their minds.

Meanwhile, fans were worried they wouldn’t be able to find the stickers,
and asked people to contact the agency,
but they said that was ridiculous,
that they didn’t even know the phone number or anything else.

Since there was no prior coordination,
from the staff’s point of view, it was only natural for them to be upset.


"No but...;;; At least tell us the number of the ones you found ㅠㅠ
You’re saying you won’t even contact the agency directly,
and it’s not like you’re going to find and dispose of all the rest either, so what are we supposed to do?
They’re telling us to talk to SM;; be serious.
(Look at that crumpled stickers… )"

Fans probably assumed there had been prior coordination,
but since there wasn’t, an announcement was made,
and the staff ended up finding all the stickers and canceling it.
Looks like they collected all the stickers in the hot weather and disposed of them

"Mark's treasure hunt at Namsan has been canceled ㅜㅜ
People who went there earlier said there was an announcement playing, and staff were out there collecting all the stickers…
Someone even saw a staff member removing the stickers ㅠㅠ What kind of jealousy is this… I'm on my way to Jamwon instead now"

While this happened, the event got halted,
Fans thought there would be an apology but meanwhile, other locations' events continued as planned and the fans found the other tickets


"I found it at Seoul Forest"

The first location's treasure hunt was canceled,
and at the other locations, there were still traces of the stickers,
but without any apology, they just posted a notice saying all the treasures had been found
and that the event was over.

"As of 12:58 PM, all 26 of Mark’s treasures have been found, and the event is now officially over!

2. No but this is supposed to be their content, they should've coordinated with the locations in advance... Sigh 

3. Can't they do it properly? He seems to have prepared it with good intentions for the fans for his birthday, meanwhile this led to people swearing at him
