On the 11th, McDonald's Korea announced that it will be releasing limited-edition Happy Meal toys featuring BTS characters 'TinyTAN'.
TinyTAN are characters based on the seven BTS members in adorable form, and they have received widespread love from the global fandom through various content and merchandise.
The new TinyTAN mini figures released by McDonald's come in a total of 14 types. The figures are available in two versions: the "Playback Edition," which recreates the characters as seen in the 2021 'The BTS Meal' commercial, and the "Encore Edition," featuring the characters in outfits with the McDonald's logo. Customers can choose one when purchasing a Happy Meal.
The first wave, the "Playback Edition," will be available starting today, and the second wave, the "Encore Edition," will be available starting October 2.
A McDonald's representative stated, “The Happy Meal is an iconic McDonald’s menu item that brings small moments of happiness to people of all ages,” and added, “We will continue striving to deliver joy through our Happy Meal toys and menus.”
Meanwhile, for each Happy Meal purchase, 50 KRW will be donated to the non-profit Korea Ronald McDonald House Charities, which supports children with severe illnesses and their families.
