On the October 27th episode of KBS Joy’s Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller, a transgender individual appeared as a guest.

Lee Soo-geun looked at the guest and asked, “Is it what I think it is?” The guest replied, “I’m a transgender person who transitioned from male to female.” She then shared her concern: “Can I forget the boyfriend I dated before my transition and start a new relationship?”

The guest explained, “I’ve had breast surgery so far.” She continued, “I first realized I had a different gender identity in middle school. I denied being homosexual at the time, but I liked a male classmate for three years.” Later, she dated a man for over three years, but said they eventually broke up because he repeatedly cheated on her.

The guest added, “After becoming a transgender woman, I feel like a lot of people approach me.” Seo Jang-hoon responded, “Then what was that guy back then? If it was truly pure love, would he have cheated? Maybe he didn’t take you seriously. Why are you the only one holding onto it as a good memory?” He expressed his concern. Lee Soo-geun also advised, “Raise your self-esteem and learn to love yourself.”

The guest then revealed that she plans to have surgery soon to complete her transition and that she wanted to make a public marriage proposal. She said, “I’d like someone over 170 cm tall, who works out, has decent looks, can drink a bit, and has similar spending habits.” Seo Jang-hoon commented, “You have quite a lot of expectations there. The higher your expectations, the more you’ll be disappointed. Meeting a perfect person isn’t easy. If you focus too much on conditions, life gets harder. It’s something to think about.” [Nate]
