[PC Stories/KPOP takes] WHICH KPOP GROUP'S INFLUENCE AND IMPACT IN THE INDUSTRY DO YOU THINK WAS THE BEST?

You know, whenever a kpop group becomes super successful like BTS, BLACKPINK, NewJeans etc, they end up influencing a whole generation and a lot of artists/groups start following their sound, concept or any other popular thing about them. Though, a lot of people actually hate when that happens since the industry becomes saturated after everyone starts to follow one group.

For example, BTS was inspired by BigBang in the first place but after they blew up back in 2016-2017, most boygroups started to go for the "noise" sound with a big focus on rap, strong performances and concepts, more specifically 4th gen boygroups.

With BLACKPINK it was a bit similar, girlgroups went from cute/sexy elegant concept in 3rd gen to a stronger sound, performances and concepts in 4th gen, with a few exceptions. Also, BP brought the fixation on luxury brands and ambassadorships to the industry as well if i'm not mistaken.

Now for NewJeans, the industry started following their "easy listening" sound, refreshing/bright or relatable concepts and rookie groups where members all have similar voice colors is also noticeable.

So in your opinion, between all of them which one of the biggest kpop groups brought the best, or most tolerable, trends to the kpop industry? Is there a trend that you think was the worst? And why?

I mentioned only a few examples since i don't know everything about 2nd gen but i heard that for SNSD, they started the big group trend. You can also mention other groups and other trends that i might have missed from the groups i used as examples, or even a popular idol in specific that might have ever started a trend
