On the 16th, Judge Jeong Cheol-min of the Seoul Western District Court (Civil Division 61) announced that the court had dismissed Min's objection to the fine issued by the Seoul Western Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor. As a result, the fine remains in effect.
If Min chooses to contest the court's decision, a formal trial will be held.
Min's side responded by saying, “The court ruled that part of the fine was incorrect and reduced the amount,” adding, “However, we believe there were legal and factual errors even in the parts the court accepted, and we plan to address these issues again in a formal trial.”
Last year, a former ADOR employee filed a complaint with HYBE, claiming they were subjected to workplace bullying by Min. The employee later submitted a petition to the labor ministry, stating that Min protected the individual accused of being the perpetrator and verbally abused the employee.
The Seoul Western Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor concluded that Min had engaged in workplace bull**ng and failed to investigate the matter objectively as an employer, issuing a preliminary notice of a fine.
The specific amount of the fine has not been disclosed.
