[theqoo] REESE WITHERSPOON TALK ABOUT WHAT WRITERS DO WRONG WITH FEMALE CHARACTERS

One question that came up during a Q&A session to commemorate season 4 of the drama "Morning Show"

"What's one thing writers get wrong when writing female characters?"

"I've said this before (at the 2015 Glamour Feminism Speech):
In action movies and such, women go up to men and say,"

"What do we do now?"
Jennifer Anniston: Ah~

As I said in my speech, what kind of woman would ever turn to her a man in a crisis or difficult situation?

"Do we really ask "What should we do?""

"For example, there's a flooding accident in a house"

"Have you ever asked a guy "What do we do?""

Karen: Rather, he'll ask me
Everyone: You're right

original post: here

1. We usually ask our dad in our house, maybe we're just special...

2. She's so freaking right

3. Our mom resolves all the issues in our house

4. That's so true ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ The captain in our house will forever be our mom

5. Our mom does so much in our house that our dad's presence has become meaningless

6. For real, whenever there's something to be done, we all go to our mom to ask what we should do. But to our dad..? ã…Ž I'd rather just resolve it myself

7. So true, there's so many of those dialogues in movies

8. Oh she's right

9. The entire world agrees with her

10. In our house, mom decides and dad pays
