All five NewJeans members have decided not to appeal the first-trial ruling regarding the validity of their exclusive contracts, resulting in the contracts with ADOR remaining fully in effect.
According to the music industry on the 14th, Haerin, Hyein, Minji, Danielle, and Hanni did not submit an appeal by the deadline at midnight that day. Therefore, the first-trial ruling delivered on the 30th of last month has now been finalized.
In the original ruling, the Seoul Central District Court’s Civil Division 41 accepted ADOR’s request for confirmation of the exclusive contract’s validity and ruled, “The exclusive contract is valid,” siding with ADOR.
With the lawsuit outcome finalized, the members are now accelerating their return procedures.
