[PC stories/KPOP takes] STANNING YOUNGER GROUPS

What are your lines drawn when stanning younger groups? I think it is only weird if you make it weird. If you are just listening to the music and collecting merch like an auntie, who cares? I feel it is easier to stan a group that has 1-2 minors at debut versus the majority of the group being all minors. I can't really stan younger groups though the older I get, I just feel more comfortable streaming their music. Some groups/examples I was thinking of: Wish has a lot of Noona stans, but their merch is really good. Of course you are going to want to collect them. It just depends on how you talk about the younger members. I also saw that fansign with Cortis how one of them was 17 and fans were asking what to do as a 25 year old or telling him he is the prettiest 09-liner. Do you know how depraved you have to be to say that?? That is a CHILD. People like to say that "pedonoona / men (idk the better term)" culture is only in Korea but that isn't true. Yes some will literally stalk younger trainees for YEARS - I have heard about this so maybe times. But, western fans do the same. I even remember people counting down to when Wonyoung turned 18 and it made me so sick to my stomach. I also feel the way they promote Lara/Megan/Yoonchae is weird sometimes because they are 17-19. Some of their choreography can be a little bit sexual or they will have revealing outfits. That's fine I am not here to police anyone, but it makes me feel crazy sometimes because I feel they are targeting them to a specific demographic. Maybe I am being dramatic, but that is my perspective...it seems a little bit too much for those who just turned into adults. (Side note - what are yall thoughts on DizZzyPop on tiktok? I saw he was getting a lot of flack because he covered the re:scene stuff which I thought made sense by his explanation but people were getting him for stanning younger groups and he's 35.) Minors have unfortunately always been in the industry (Taemin, Yeri, Krystal), but in the past 5 years I have noticed that it has turned into entire groups with minors debuting. It just makes me a little bit sad I think because I feel they should be protected from the industry.
