[PC stories/KPOP takes] WHY DIDN'T LOONA HIT BIG?

I always wonder why loona was never able to hit big. My non kpop friends all thought loona was one of the most popular groups because of how much they heard about them and they were so surprised to find out they were mid tier lol. I know the answer is their incompetent company but other non big 4 companies are incompetent and their groups have hit big. They have one of the best discographies, all visuals and talented, entertaining content, yet they were never that popular?? 

This probably sounds like glaze but I’m just very surprised that loona never got super famous especially since everyone on the internet has seen that hi high chuu teaser picture and knows of her. Even in korea chuu is known for her cfs and being cute. I know orbits are annoying but the biggest groups have equally annoying fans so why do orbits get singled out for the reason loona was never that famous? It just confuses me because they’re basically everything people want in a group and are still so underrated
