Earlier, on the 29th, ADOR released an official statement regarding the future of NewJeans members Minji, Hanni, and Danielle.

ADOR stated, “Hanni visited Korea with her family and had long, in-depth conversations with ADOR. During that process, we revisited past events and took time to view the situation objectively,” adding, “After sincere discussions, Hanni decided to respect the court’s ruling and continue with ADOR.”

They continued, “Minji is also in discussions with ADOR, and we are continuing conversations to broaden mutual understanding.”

However, regarding Danielle, ADOR explained, “In Danielle’s case, we determined that it would be difficult to continue together as a NewJeans member and ADOR artist, and thus we notified her today of the termination of her exclusive contract.” They added, “We also plan to pursue legal responsibility against one member of Danielle’s family and former CEO Min Hee-jin, who bear significant responsibility for causing this dispute and for NewJeans’ departure and delayed return.”

ADOR further stated, “Through the dialogue process, we came to understand that the members had been exposed to distorted and biased information over a long period of time, leading to many misunderstandings about the company and ultimately to this dispute.” They added, “Both the company and the artists agreed that, even if it takes some time, restoring the love of fans and the public requires a process of fully resolving misunderstandings based on accurate facts.”

Meanwhile, ADOR told one media outlet regarding Danielle’s alleged fault, “As legal procedures are expected to proceed, it is difficult to speak in detail,” but explained, “An exclusive contract is based on mutual foundations. In Danielle’s case, actions were taken that violate the exclusive contract. For example, entering into other contracts, engaging in independent entertainment activities, or damaging the honor and credibility of the team NewJeans all constitute violations of the exclusive contract.”
