[theqoo] SM LAWSUIT NOTICE (SUING TWITTER ACCOUNTS)

Hello, this is SM Entertainment.

We have recently confirmed that some users on X (formerly Twitter) have been continuously and repeatedly posting and writing malicious content about our artists, including the dissemination of false information, defamation, sexual harassment, personal attacks, insults, and invasions of privacy. As such illegal acts cause severe psychological harm to our artists, we are taking strict action and have proceeded with criminal complaints in order to protect the rights and interests of our artists.

Based on valuable reports submitted by fans through “KWANGYA 119,” as well as materials collected through our own monitoring, we closely reviewed the content of posts and attached images on X accounts. In particular, with regard to X users who have continuously posted and written malicious content of the above nature targeting aespa, RIIZE, and NCT WISH—Min* Gorilla (@huaisl3v), Ni Ma (@oonhn), Yu Shwe (@BiroChubby), Ki Jwi (@hggeun), cssty (@cssty184701), lkkk (@lkkkk1672981), @erbtbfjdoe, @ibfjdidhhdj, @ncuterenjun, @I*eyanoko, and others—a total of 11 accounts—we have filed criminal complaints with investigative authorities in cooperation with Shin & Kim LLC (Sejong Law Firm) regarding the confirmed criminal acts.

In addition to the submission of this complaint, we are currently reviewing malicious posts uploaded on various SNS platforms concerning other artists besides aespa, RIIZE, and NCT WISH, and are preparing additional criminal complaints. We plan to continue expanding the scope of legal action.

Furthermore, not only on X but also on DC Inside, Naver, Daum Cafe, Nate Pann, Instiz, Theqoo, MLB Park, FM Korea, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, we have secured a large amount of evidence regarding acts such as creating and spreading malicious rumors and false information about our artists, posting content that mocks, demeans, or contains sexually explicit material, and producing or distributing distorted content such as deepfakes. We plan to pursue strict legal action without leniency through sequential criminal complaints and civil claims.

In 2026 as well, we will continue to place the highest priority on protecting the rights and interests of our artists and will do our utmost in all respects. We ask for fans’ continued interest and cooperation.
