[theqoo] BLACKPINK'S UNTHINKABLE COLLAB... TEAMS UP WITH THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF KOREA

According to YG Entertainment on the 12th, BLACKPINK will present the ‘National Museum of Korea X BLACKPINK’ project in collaboration with the National Museum of Korea from the 26th of this month until the 8th of next month.

This special collaboration brings together BLACKPINK, who have written K-pop history, and the K-Museum representing Korea, with global audio and music streaming platform Spotify joining as an official partner.

During this period, a lighting event will transform the exterior of the National Museum of Korea into a pink hue symbolizing BLACKPINK and this project. Additionally, the members will participate in audio docent sessions for eight representative artifacts, effectively serving as guides to Korea's cultural heritage.

A listening session for all tracks from their mini album 3 will be held at the Gwanggaeto the Great Stele, located in the main lobby, the Path of History. Some of these sessions will be exclusive for Spotify Premium users.

Preview listening, starting one day before the release, is available for those who apply via Naver reservation opening at 8 PM on the 19th. After the release at 2 PM on the 27th, anyone can participate during museum operating hours.

BLACKPINK is the first K-pop artist to undertake such an official, large-scale collaboration with the National Museum of Korea. This fresh attempt to bridge the boundaries between music and cultural heritage is expected to captivate not only the global fandom but also cultural industry professionals and the general public.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK's mini album 3 [DEADLINE] will be released on the 27th at 2 PM. It contains a total of five tracks, including the title track ‘GO’ and the pre-released songs ‘JUMP’, ‘Me and my’, ‘Champion’, and ‘Fxxxboy’. YG previously stated, “[DEADLINE] will be an album filled with ‘irreversible peak moments’ and ‘BLACKPINK's most radiant present moment’ as suggested by its title.”
