The entire Korean Peninsula falls under skin tone scale 12.
China and Japan have regions classified as 13 or 14.
India and Southeast Asia range from 18 to 21 or higher.
Higher numbers indicate darker skin tones.
The same holds true in Gregory Bash's 2003 paper.
The fact that Koreans tend to have fair skin has been proven by numerous research findings.
This is the reason why Southeast Asians are mad at us
original post: here
1. Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia are geographically distant, have different climates, and people have different skin tones, so why the hell do they insist Northeast Asians should have dark skin too? Even Southeast Asian Chinese who've lived in the same country for generations have completely different skin tones from local Southeast Asians.
2. Funny thing is, they don't treat Japan or China like that, even though they're fellow East Asians. Why do they only think of Korea as Southeast Asia? Geographically, it's not even true
3. Why are they so obsessed with skin color. Just live your life
4. Asia is so big so why are we all lumped together?ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Is their IQ different?
5. What are we supposed to do if we're just different?
6. I'm pretty fair-skinned myself, but the guy sitting next to me on the train yesterday was even paler, it was striking. There really are a lot of very fair-skinned people in this country
7. Over there, skin color is literally power, so they seem obsessed with it. In our country, it's a matter of preference
8. Unnies, just love yourself
9. We tan in the summer but because pale again in the winter (this doesn't apply to everyone though)
10. They must know that Koreans are generally paler too right? So are they jealous because of that?ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹
