"It has been revealed that attendees in their 40s made up the largest demographic at BTS’s Gwanghwamun comeback concert. This has led to analysis suggesting that the K-pop fandom, previously considered to be centered on younger generations, is expanding to include middle-aged and older adults.
According to data tech firm IGAWorks on the 27th, the number of people entering the 1 km radius around Gwanghwamun, Seoul, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on the 21st was recorded at 163,964. Of these, 41,570 were residents from outside the Seoul metropolitan area, indicating that the event attracted attendees from across the country.
By age group, women in their 40s accounted for the highest proportion at 21.79%. Men in their 40s also recorded a high proportion at 13.30%. This was followed by women in their 50s (12.15%) and women in their 30s (12.05%), indicating that people in their 30s to 50s formed the core demographic. In contrast, the proportion of people aged 20 and under was relatively low. By gender, women accounted for a higher proportion than men across all age groups, but men also showed a significant level of participation, particularly among those in their 30s to 50s."

1. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
2. It’s been 13 years since their debut, but they haven't been active for four of those years. BTS is getting older, and ARMYs are getting older too. Do you think idol fans are only teenagers and people in their twenties? That's such an outdated way of thinking
3. 160K????
4. Oho!
5. But about the men in their 30s, 40s and 50s, aren't they just people working around that area?
6. "A 1 km radius," f*ckㅋㅋㅋㅋ
7. There's no point for Koreans in their 10s and 20s to stan a group that doesn't even promote in Korea
8. They probably have a lot of grandma fans too. I'm freaking jealous
9. Congrats🎊🎊
10. So they are mostly popular with people in their 40s and 50s
