JYP Entertainment head chief Park Jinyoung is resigning from his position as an executive director.

JYP Entertainment announced on the afternoon of the 10th, "J.Y. Park will not be seeking reappointment as an executive director at the shareholders' meeting on March 26th."

They stated that Park Jinyoung plans to focus on his creative activities as an artist, nurturing up-and-coming artists, and pursuing new external initiatives for the K-pop industry.

Since his music debut in 1994, Park Jinyoung has been active as a singer, composer, and producer. In September of last year, he was appointed co-chairman of the Presidential Committee on Popular Culture Exchange.
