While conceptualizing their album, BTS received a proposal for the concept of "Arirang" from Lee Bo-young, the executive producer at Big Hit Music. Producer Lee mentioned that the story of seven young men who were the first Koreans to record music in the United States was reported in the American press in 1896, and suggested that they conceptualize the album based on the "Arirang" they recorded.
The members showed caution, saying, "I understand it in theory, but physically... hearing stories about heroes and legends gives me a bit of an allergy...", "I can't quite grasp it," and "Isn't that too direct?"
Later, when Bang Sihyuk, Chairman of HYBE, persuaded them by saying, "It makes no sense to give up the emotional impact of singing one's own country's folk song in front of the world," they reached a consensus and decided to incorporate Arirang into "Body to Body."
While J-Hope dances energetically to "Body to Body," which features the song "Arirang," V expresses concern, saying, "People might feel uncomfortable thinking, 'We are heading towards excessive patriotism.'" RM also sharply points out that it feels like eating bibimbap with various foods like kimchi and pork cutlets thrown in haphazardly.
The episode continues with HYBE Chairman Bang Sihyuk meeting with the members and persuading them about the symbolic meaning of the scene created by the stadium audience singing along to "Arirang," stating, "You are the target audience."
Even after deciding on "Swim" as the title track, BTS still lacks confidence. J-Hope confesses, "I hesitate when playing it for acquaintances," and V remarks, "We are running in the exact opposite direction of what people expect." They also convey the somewhat cold reactions of those around them who have already encountered their musical shift, noting, "My friends say they understand it, but they can't accept it."

1. They've always mediaplayed the 'self-producing' but now that the responses aren't going the direction they wanted, they're blaming Bang Sihyuk ㅋㅋㅋ I guess they have to listen to Bang Sihyuk since he used all his connections and background to get BTS into that position through various underhanded tactics
2. Of course, they'll blame it on the company now ㅋㅋ
3. They've came back after such a long time, but their songs and performances were so boring. They should've done a double title instead
4. I've honestly rarely seen Bang Sihyuk getting praised for his musical sense. If anything, he's full of controversies
5. Those gae-jussis have no tact
6. Aren't they supposed to be a self-produced group...? You'd think that after this long hiatus, the first thing they'd want to do is release music
7. ㅋㅋ What's up with them blaming on the company? Do they really want us to believe that the company doesn't listen to them?
8. I'm more shocked about how they played the "producing-dols" for so many years... Yet they have no competencies and act like they have no volition
9. I thought BTS prided themselves in their own "self-producing"?
10. Aren't they at the level of seniority to be able to participate in their own album's decision?
