Chinese actor Zhang Linghe saw a caricature drawn of him and casually said something along the lines of: "It looks like you drew me like Yang Di. (The picture) makes it feel like I was born in Southeast Asia."

Yang Di = Chinese comedian. His whole image is that he's ugly

But people interpreted this as him comparing “an uglier drawing than himself = a Southeast Asian person.” Because of that, Southeast Asian fans who follow Chinese actors, dramas, and movies are now angry.

Of course, because of this Chinese incident, East Asia and Korea are now being talked about ㅋㅋ
