According to a recent YouTube channel 'The Fact', Jo Jin-woong's whereabouts have hardly been revealed since announcing his retirement, and he is found to be living with all external activities and media contact completely cut off.

The Fact explained, "It is hardly known where or what he is doing after retiring from the entertainment industry," adding, "He has cut off contact with acquaintances as well as external schedules."

They continued, "It is said that he has cut off contact even with close acquaintances. There are reports in and out of the film industry that as he has admitted all his past wrongdoings, he hopes to be quietly forgotten over time," analyzing that he is effectively living a life distanced from society.

Meanwhile, they reported, "Opinions are divided on whether the choice of retirement is sufficient as a method of taking responsibility, or if it is another form of evasion. One thing is certain, as sincere reflection and time accumulate, the public's gaze may also change."
In and out of the film industry, an interpretation is raised that since Jo Jin-woong admitted all his past controversies, he chose to let time pass and be forgotten naturally. An insider also shared the thought, "It is highly probable that he is spending time reflecting on himself while letting go of everything."

Previously, in December last year, Jo Jin-woong was at the center of controversy as his past criminal record from his school days was revealed belatedly. According to reports, it was conveyed that he had a history of being sent to a juvenile detention center after receiving protective disposition for crimes such as SA and theft during high school. Afterward, as an adult, the controversy spread further with additional reports of a history of being fined for assaulting a theater troupe member, and having his license revoked for driving drunk.
