'May the Congressman Protect You' is based on a famous web novel of the same name and tells the story of Gu Young-jin (played by Kim Yoonseok), a six-term heavyweight congressman who takes his own life in 2008 and becomes a ghost, waking up 10 years earlier in 1998, where he teams up with 9th-grade civil servant Cha Jae-rim (played by Kim Seonho) to take over the National Assembly.

Kim Seonho plays Cha Jae-rim, a Grade 9 civil servant. Cha Jae-rim, who possesses the ability to see ghosts, takes in the ghost of Gu Young-jin and emerges into the political arena like a supernova, engaging in a political showdown with the living Assemblyman Gu Young-jin. Kim Yoon-suk is set to play Gu Young-jin.
