A shopping mall sponsored a pair of pants for a certain idol (the name of the idol wasn’t disclosed), but the sponsored pants weren’t returned.

However, the brand claims that a staff member from the idol’s team sent them a KakaoTalk message saying that.

Idol's staff message: CEO-nim!  Just regarding our black-and-blue wide-leg, slit-front bootcut pants...

I went over to the XX team to... ...ask about them, and they told me that XX really loves the pants and won’t return them, so they’re currently stuck there!

CEO's message: XX-nim, thank you for loving our pants... I'll gift them to you as a gift...

Judging by the general reaction, opinions seem to be split between "It's a win-win since the store owner is happy it went viral" and "Shouldn't they still return the item and ask for a separate gift instead?"
