Spotify has made adjustments to all-time streaming numbers for multiple tracks.

Notable stream removals have occurred at the start of each month since early 2025.
Since February 2025, large-scale streaming data deletions have been conducted on the 1st of every month for 17 consecutive months.
Although no specific criteria have been announced, it is presumed that the deletions target streaming volumes deemed abnormal.
It appears that some extreme fans are streaming through irregular channels due to an overheated fandom culture and competitive pressure.
And here are the changes in K-pop album streaming figures as of the 1st of this month.
Red - decrease
Green - increase
Teams that saw an increase are not affected, but among those that saw a decrease, albums with abnormally low percentage drops were likely adjusted...
Note: It's not just K-pop artists who are being adjusted, some pop artists have also had millions of streams drastically removed (because there are fanbases competing fiercely on the charts there as well).

1. Reading the comments here, you can tell they are forced hate right away. "There's no real substance to BTS", "They are just using the famous-for-being-famous-tactic", kids who say that have flocked here to pretend they can't hear others while mocking themã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ I'm a fan of another idol, but I'm seriously sick of this ã…‹ã…‹
2. Even if they have that many fraudulent streams, they are still first so who cares?
3. Running the factory isn't going to be cut anyway, that was just fans messing around and getting caught
4. Because SM, HYBE groups and Jennie are all here, the comments are relatively peacefulã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ If it was only HYBE idols, the comments would be such a sightã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹
5. I guess I can accept that the rankings are adjusted, but I'm not sure if the rankings listed there are all that meaningful. Love Youself?? Answer...??? It's just amazing that these songs, which were released years ago, are still climbing the charts like that
6. It seems like CORTIS has grown into the next big thing after BTS. I wondered if Big Hit could really create the next BTS, but they've pulled it off after all
7. I'm curious, even with the rankings adjusted, BTS is still at that rank, right? It doesn't seem like they have any real competitors in the K-pop scene, so why is the competition so heated? They were just trying to set new streaming records then?
8. Wow, BTS are on another level
9. aespa got so many numbers removed and LE SSERAFIM is actually going up. But didn't aespa just released their album last Friday? That was only a few days ago
10. CORTIS are just rookies but they are daebak
