"How much does it cost to style Kim Woobin for a single day?
Stylist Kim Se-joon earned 25 million won (~16.5K USD) that day alone. He received 20 million won for styling two outfits, plus an additional 5 million won for the magazine photoshoot.
Hair was handled by Im Cheol-woo, whose daily fee came to 15 million won to 12 million won (~9.9K USD - 7.9K USD) for two video shoots and 3 million won (~2K USD) for the editorial shoot. Simply adjusting Kim Woobin's parting earned him 15 million won that day.
According to SPIC, Kim Woobin’s total hair, makeup, and styling (HMS) costs were approximately 48 million won (~32K USD):
- Hair: 15 million (~9.9K USD)
- Makeup: 8 million (~5.5K USD)
- Styling: 25 million (~16.5K USD)
That’s nearly 20% of the average production budget for a TV commercial.
In fact, what the stylist earned from this single day’s shoot is roughly equivalent to the annual salary of a rookie talent agency manager."

1. It's not the price of the clothes, but the stylist's daily rate...?? Even for a super-famous stylist, is that all they make?
2. They are making more money than some top celebrities
3. ??? In a day?
4. Wow, the stylist he worked with in 2021 had a take-home salary of 1.6 million won (~1K USD). The gap here is huge, too
5. Since they're working among the top 0.01% and aren't regular office workers, it's only natural that they command high rates
6. Wow, insane
7. Because they are working with top stars...
8. Then how much do celebrities really make...?
9. Originally, top professionals in the industry operate more like freelancers than high-earners, so they need a career and qualifications that are impressive enough for others to seek them out, but still..
10. And who pays for this?
> The advertiser
>> That's probably not Kim Woobin's personal stylist but a stylist hired by an advertiser
