I have no friends or family.
Not a single person.
I grew up with my grandparents when I was young, but they both passed away recently,
and now I’m all alone in this world.
Until my 20s, I had no worries and was actually pretty happy in my own way,
but now that I’m in my 30s and there’s no one around me, I’m suddenly overcome with fear.
I don’t know how to go on living alone. If something happens in my life,
or if I suddenly collapse, there’s no one who will come looking for me.
I had lots of friends when I was young, but as I got older, we all lost touch
everyone’s too busy living their own lives...
It’s really sad
I wonder if I’ll be able to hold on until I’m old and die

I don't have anybody either

I have nobody either. I cut off all my relationships and I don't have resentment either

To be honest, as a friend, it’s hard for me to address the concerns you’re having... That’s why I think people start families. Even setting aside the issue of raising children (since there are so many double income families these days), I feel like a spouse is the only person I can rely on to look after me when I’m unable to take care of myself

I’m also a 40-year-old single woman... and I’m on my own. I used to have a lot of fun with my friends when I was younger, but after I turned 30, we only saw each other sporadically, and once I hit my mid-30s, we stopped seeing each other altogether. I’m busy with work, so I don’t reach out to anyone to hang out. I do have family, but I barely see them even once a year. Even though I feel lonely, I’m actually more comfortable on my own. Having been let down by people so many times in my life, even if someone, whether a man or a woman, seems attractive and nice, I just don’t feel curious about them, nor do I have any interest or curiosity in them...

(Commentor is a man) Even people with lots of friends tend to think they have three or fewer true friends who will help them out when times are tough. The rest are just social or business relationships based on mutual favors. It’s all meaningless.

On Nate Pan, people say, “You don’t need friends, you’re living your own life,” but in reality, that’s not true. You need at least one friend. After all, humans aren’t called social animals for nothing.
