[theqoo][OFFICIAL] ADOR'S SIDE, NEWJEANS' PLAGIARISM ACCUSATIONS... "INTERNALLY REVIEWING WHETHER MIN HEEJIN'S ASSESSMENT OF SIMILARITY WAS APPROPRIATE"

Amid ongoing plagiarism allegations surrounding the group NewJeans' song "How Sweet," ADOR has officially addressed the issue.

On the 10th, Dispatch reported that it had obtained a complaint filed with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California regarding allegations that NewJeans' "How Sweet" plagiarized "One of a Kind," a track created by a team of four, including American composer Audrey Armacost.

According to the report, the four American producers and singer-songwriters filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against HYBE, ADOR, NewJeans, BANA, considered a key part of Min Heejin's music team, and composer 250.

On the 10th, an official from ADOR told Xports News, "The track in question was sourced through BANA, a company selected by then-CEO Min Heejin, and we are currently reviewing internal records to determine whether CEO Min properly conducted checks for musical similarity at the time."

Vana had commissioned topline work for the "How Sweet" instrumental track after delivering it to the U.S. publishing company Pulse Music. Subsequently, a team of four, Audrey Armacost, Aiden Rodriguez, Michael Campanelli, and Adam Gokcebay, completed and submitted the topline, but Vana stated that they would not ultimately adopt it.

However, "How Sweet" was released four months later.

The credits for "How Sweet" list Min Heejin as the executive producer and Kim Ki-hyun as the head of A&R.

Four musicians, including Audrey Armacost, stated in their complaint, "Min Heejin said, 'Kim Ki-hyun *is* NewJeans; he produced every song,'" and pointed out, "Kim Ki-hyun received our songs; he cannot claim to be unaware of their existence."

Meanwhile, when plagiarism allegations regarding "How Sweet" first arose last May, ADOR, NewJeans' agency, stated, "We confirmed with BANA, the company responsible for the song's production, and their position is that no plagiarism occurred." The agency added, "Accordingly, ADOR and the members intend to respond to the lawsuit in alignment with BANA's position."

1. It's my first time seeing people say "fighting" to singers accused of plagiarism

2. The kids bullsh*tting with NewJeans fighting, how dumb can you be

3. NewJeans, hold hands with HYBE. Fighting!

4. NewJeans, find strength

5. TEven with a similarity check, how would you catch that? If the person who wrote the song was determined to pull a fast one, claiming they received it but wouldn't use it, it would probably be impossible to detect

6. Wouldn't they usually handle something like this quietly, considering the artist's image? Even if it is a case of plagiarism involving Min Heejin, what good does it do for NewJeans' image to make such a loud fuss and put out press releases about it?

7. Are people not aware that Dispatch wouldn't cover any other artists except NewJeans?

8. NewJeans fighting!

9. Seriously they're bullying NewJeans so badly

10. NewJeans, find strength. Seriously how many years have they been tormented already?
