[theqoo] XDINARY HEROES GUNIL'S BUBBLE AFTER WITHDRAWING

"Hello Villains, This is Gu Gunil

I think this will likely be my last greeting as an XD member. I truly wanted to remain an XD member until the very end and protect the six of us. However, as you know, I had no choice but to accept the company's decision. I still can't quite believe it is real. I have so much I want to say to Villains. I still don't know where to start or how to tell you. But now that I am no longer a member of XD, I do not want to hide the truth or make excuses with lies for my own sake. I should tell you myself..."

"I really really loved you and liked you Villains... Please take care of your health and be well..."

Hello, Villains. This is Gunil.

I think this will probably be my final greeting to you as a member of Xdinary Heroes.

I truly wanted to remain an Xdinary Heroes member until the very end, and I wanted to protect the six members of Xdinary Heroes. But as you know, I have decided that I have no choice but to accept the company’s decision.

Even now, it still doesn’t feel real to me.

There are so many things I want to say to Villains. I still don’t know where to begin or how to talk about everything.

However, now that I am no longer a member of Xdinary Heroes, I don’t want to hide facts or make false excuses for my own sake. I believe there are things I need to tell you myself, which is why I am writing this.

First of all, the person who wrote the post that started this whole situation was someone I met through an acquaintance and dated for about two weeks.

At the time, I was mentally very exhausted because of the malicious comments that had continued for some time, false rumors and stories about me, and various concerns I had about Xdinary Heroes’ music and performances. Rather than burdening the people close to me with worry by opening up about how I truly felt, I was at a point where it felt easier to vent my frustrations to a stranger who didn’t know me well.

I am indeed the person who made the inappropriate remarks about fans in the phone recording that was made public to Villains.

Regardless of the reason, the fact that I said those things does not change. I sincerely apologize to everyone who was disappointed and hurt by my words.

However, I want to tell you truthfully what situation and emotions I was in at the time, and whom those words were directed toward.

Earlier this year, there was an incident in which sasaeng fans broke into our dorm, and they even put a GPS tracker on my personal vehicle and followed me around. After experiencing things like that, I developed a great deal of fear and resentment toward certain malicious fans, and I went through a very difficult time mentally.

But because I was both the leader and the hyung of the group, I couldn’t easily talk about my fears or anxiety. I tried my best to manage my emotions on my own.

Then, in June of this year, I prepared for the Inspire Arena concert with the members, determined to give Villains the absolute best performance we could. We prepared with everything we had, and after finishing the first day of the concert, I checked social media with excitement and anticipation.

Of course, no performance can ever be perfect, and I believe that we have to acknowledge our shortcomings and continue improving. However, that day, I saw many malicious posts that went beyond opinions or criticism of the performance, to a degree that was difficult for us to understand.

Because it was a performance we had prepared for with all our sincerity, I think I was emotionally devastated by the unexpected criticism and malicious comments.

Even so, I couldn’t easily open up about my feelings because I didn’t want to make the company staff or the members worry about me. Eventually, I ended up confiding the emotions I had been holding inside to someone I had only recently met, and in the process, I carelessly said things that were far too harsh and wrong.

I never imagined that our conversation would be recorded and made public. However, regardless of whether it was made public or not, I clearly understand that the fact that I said those things was wrong in itself.

There is just one thing I want to make absolutely clear.

The people I was speaking about emotionally at the time were certain malicious fans who hid behind anonymity to recklessly criticize us or invade our privacy. I was absolutely not referring to all Villains who trust and support us.

Because I had always tried to show you the image of a sincere and dependable leader, I believe the disappointment and sense of betrayal you felt because of this incident must have been even greater. I am truly sorry for that.

Around the time of the Inspire concert in June, I was going through a difficult period mentally for various reasons. I also met that person around then, and it is true that I relied on them to some extent emotionally at the time.

I understand that this story may sound like an excuse.

But I want to make one thing absolutely clear: I did not say those things about the Villains whom I truly loved and trusted.

Also, if I were to say that I never once had any frustrations with the members, whom I lived with every day and shared so much of my work and personal life with, that would also be a lie. However, I can say without a trace of shame that throughout my time as a member of Xdinary Heroes, I genuinely cared for and loved the members, and I was always grateful for the love that Villains gave us.

To me, the members were always people I was proud of, and Villains were always people I was grateful for.

1. Honestly, he just isn't cut out to be an idol. He lacks the guts to simply ignore fan demands, doesnt't have the mental fortitude to tolerate fans' whining, yet can't stand it when *he* is having a hard time or feel wronged. On top of that, he has a loose tongue and only feels satisfied after running his mouth to everyone around them... I can understand his struggles, sure, but the reality is that he simply didn't have the capacity to handle the position he's in

2. Honestly, when it comes to sasaeng fans, I can understand hating the fandom, but saying you want to slap a fan? That really makes it look like there’s a serious issue with his character. Leaving the group seems like the only option... Ugh

3. The guy seemed like a total train wreck, but I actually relate a bit to what he said about Twitter, which makes it even more annoying ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ f*ck there really are plenty of groups out there I’d love to slap across the face, too.
Still, an idol shouldn't be looking into that kind of abyss, or if they do, they need to just brush it off. If you have the kind of mentality and personality to get so consumed by it that you pull a stunt like this, you really ought to just retire and find a new path. Good riddance

4. ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹  Fans who find him pitiful need to get a grip

5. He swore at fans, his members and the company. He saw it coming

6. Why would you tell someone you met for 2 weeks you want to slap them..

7. He said  "I want to f*cking slap her face" though

8. To long...

9. Whether it's true or not, this is the best course of action. The fans must've been so hurt

10. Huh? Why kick him out but not the school violence one?
