When asked if she enjoyed dancing, Kim Jiwon revealed that she had actually spent time as an idol trainee preparing for her debut. However, she ultimately did not debut as an idol, and she candidly explained the reason by saying, "I think there were shortcomings in various aspects."

In response, Jang Doyeon brought up an anecdote from Kim Jiwon's trainee days. There was a story that Kim Jiwon had once asked, "If Beyonce can do it, why can't I?" Jang Doyeon called this a "cute story" and drew laughter by highlighting the bold confidence Kim Jiwon possessed even from a young age.

It’s far better that she didn’t debut as an idol. Even if you start out as an actor, the "former idol" label sticks to you, making it hard to gain recognition unless your acting is truly exceptional, and even then, that label tends to follow you around. Besides, Kim Jiwon doesn’t have an "idol look". She has the look of a pure actress.
