Sullyoon of the group NMIXX recently gave a firm response to a fan who claimed they wouldn’t wash up before attending an event.
A conversation that took place between Sullyoon and her fans on a fan communication platform has been circulating online, drawing significant attention. According to screenshots of the exchange, when a fan mentioned they wouldn’t be washing up before an upcoming event, Sullyoon repeatedly insisted, "Wash up."
She stated firmly, "I’m not sure if you’re being serious, but not washing up is simply not an option," adding, "Whether or not you’re wearing makeup determines whether you look 'messy' or 'tidy', but not washing up? That’s not even in the same category as just looking a bit messy." When the fan replied, "I won't wash up; I'll just wear perfume instead," Sullyoon shot back, "Seriously, just wash up!"
With a tone of resignation, she even wrote, "Let's just try to wash up properly at least once a day." However, she quickly followed up by apologizing, "I’m not actually angry! Did I come across as too harsh? I’m sorry if it seemed that way", to reassure her fans.
Fans have responded positively to Sullyoon’s candid and unfiltered remarks, finding them refreshing. At a time when communication between artists and fans via various platforms has become increasingly active, this instance involving Sullyoon is being praised as a delightful example of such interaction.
