[Nate] ATEEZ'S CHOI SAN RAKES IN CASH WITH 'BAD', "MY SCHEDULE HAS TRIPLED AND I'M FILMING CFS FOR A WIDE VARIETY OF BRANDS"

ATEEZ mentioned their busy schedules and commercial deals as moments when they truly realized their own popularity.

On the October 24th episode of the MBC variety show "Omniscient Interfering View" (episode 421), ATEEZ members San and Hongjoong appeared as guests.

When asked when they feel their popularity, Hongjoong revealed, "To be honest, we’re currently handling about three times the number of scheduled activities we used to have. As for commercials, San has already filmed one for each of several different product categories, and there are even some that haven't been unveiled yet."

Choi San shared a moment when he truly felt their popularity: "Recently, I got into an elevator to head home, and a middle-aged man standing next to me, who had his head bowed, suddenly started doing the 'BAD' [choreography]. When I thanked him, he said, 'Thanks to you, I’ve been working out really hard lately.'"

Hongjoong added, "For about two months, I was also trapped in an algorithm that kept showing me nothing but San’s chest. At one point, I even wondered, 'Is this what popularity feels like?' It was a new experience for us, too."

It feels like the producers just tossed him a little something at the very end, like, "Fine, here you go", but who could have guessed that his chest-popping move at the end would turn into such a massive hit?

In a situation like this, he really needs a hit and mainstream-friendly song. Otherwise, even being good at variety shows won't be enough to sustain his success
