[Nate] 'DOCTOR X'S' 2 WEEK REIGN ENDS AT 19.5%... '100 DAYS OF DECEPTION' FINALLY PULLS AN UPSET

Following a remarkable surge in popularity, '100 Days of Deception', starring Kim Yoojung, has overtaken 'Doctor X: Era of the White Mafia' to claim the top spot in drama buzz rankings.

According to the TV-OTT integrated drama buzz rankings for the fourth week of October (October 19–25), released on the 26th by Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex, the tvN Saturday-Sunday drama '100 Days of Deception' has taken the number one position.

Premiering on the 10th, '100 Days of Deception' is a spy romance that follows the story of Gyeongseong’s most skilled pickpocket who becomes an undercover agent, finding her fate intertwined with an elite interpreter for the Japanese Government-General of Korea right in the heart of enemy territory. The series features a cast including Kim Yoojung, Kim Hyun-joo, Lee Moo-saeng, and Jin Seon-kyu.

The show’s rise has been rapid: '100 Days of Deception' debuted at third place in buzz rankings during its first week (the second week of October), climbed to second place in the third week, and has now ascended to the top spot by the fourth week.

The series that had been holding the top spot was the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Doctor X', starring Kim Jiwon.

'Doctor X' dominated the rankings, securing the number one position in the integrated TV-OTT drama buzz index for two consecutive weeks, the second and third weeks of October. Furthermore, its sixth episode, which aired on the 24th, achieved a personal-best viewership rating of 19.5% among households nationwide, demonstrating its immense popularity.

However, the crown for the most talked-about series has now passed to '100 Days of Deception'. With 'Doctor X' slipping to second place, its two-week reign at the top has come to an end.

'100 Days of Deception' is also seeing an upward trend in viewership ratings. Its sixth episode, which aired on the 25th, reached 9.5% among households nationwide (on paid platforms, according to Nielsen Korea), marking a new personal best for the series.

The show features strong performances from a cast led by Kim Yoojung, alongside Kim Hyun-joo, Lee Moo-saeng, and Jin Seon-kyu, with an additional special appearance by Kam Woo-sung. The narrative’s increasing momentum with each passing episode has also been generating significant buzz through word-of-mouth.

In the buzzworthiness rankings, ENA’s 'Between Steps' placed third, following '100 Days of Deception' and 'Doctor X'. KBS2’s 'A Love Other Than Yours' ranked fourth, while tvN’s 'Love in Disguise' came in fifth.

JTBC’s 'Final Table' ranked sixth, followed by KBS2’s 'Love on the Menu' in seventh place. Netflix’s 'Take Charge of My Heart' took eighth, while TVING’s 'The Ordinary Jackpot' and 'Make Me Tingle' ranked ninth and tenth, respectively.

With 'Doctor X' hitting a new personal best in viewership ratings at 19.5% and '100 Days of Deception' surging to the top spot in terms of buzz, the race for the lead on the small screen has intensified.
