From Song Joongki to Seolhyun and Shim Eun-kyung, celebrities have been expressing their interest in working with director Jang Hang-jun (T/N: director behind 'The King's Warden'). Actors showed their enthusiasm for the director, who has risen to the ranks of a “master filmmaker” after becoming a director of a film that attracted 10 million moviegoers, making playful pitches for roles in his future projects.
On the October 22 broadcast of SBS’s Master Jang Hang-jun, interview videos featuring celebrities who have connections with the director were revealed. The actors expressed their respect for Jang Hang-jun while openly sharing their desire to appear in his works, each showcasing their own unique charm.
First, Song Joongki made a friendly joke about the director’s newfound status. “Now that you’ve become a director of a film that drew 16 million moviegoers, I feel like something has changed. I feel like I need to stay on your good side,” he said.
He continued, “Shouldn’t you be casting someone to play a master filmmaker? I don’t think there are many people besides me who could do it. I’ll have a serious conversation with you about it when no one’s around.”
Song Joongki subtly expressed his desire to appear in Jang Hang-jun’s next project while making a playful but enthusiastic pitch for himself.
