*sorry for my bad english"

On the 2nd, Lee Young Ji posted an apology in English on her social media. The post read, "I understand how everyone might feel about this and will be more careful with my actions. I am sorry to everyone."

Previously, on the 1st, Lee Young Ji posted a screenshot on social media, seemingly mocking a comment from a netizen pretending to be SEVENTEEN's DK, with a message from DK saying, "Young Ji, let's receive lots of luck in the New Year! You worked so hard this year~ It must have been a valuable year for you. I'm always supporting you, so I hope you soar higher in 2024. Take care of your health and make sure to eat well," to which she replied, "DK, you're really the funniest person in the world."

This was related to a meme from last year's web variety show "There's Nothing Much To Offer," involving an episode about messages between DK and Lee Young Ji.

In the show, Lee Young Ji mentioned, "I often received long text messages from senior DK that seemed like spam. I felt pressured to reply with a message of similar length." She then shared a long text message from DK, and fellow member Joshua added, "DK has a thing for sending long, emotional text messages."

Some fans misinterpreted this as Lee Young Ji disregarding DK's kindness, leading to criticism from overseas fans. In response, Lee Young Ji deleted the post and later shared an apology in English, clarifying, "The screenshot was cut off, but of course, I replied. I even asked for permission to post it."

DK: Youngji-yah, let's receive lots of luck in the New Year! You worked so hard this year~ It must have been a valuable year for you. I'm always supporting you, so I hope you soar higher in 2024. Take care of your health and make sure to eat well

Youngji: Oh my, sunbae-nim!!!!

original post: here

1. I just went on Youngji's Insta and the i-roaches are really trying to lecture her. Even so, I think that she searches herself up a lot so she probably apologized because of thatㅋㅋ f*ck

2. No but even after the explanation, I still don't understand what the issue is

3. I don't even know what's the issue after reading her post 3 times... I still don't understand

4. Can somebody explain to me why this is problematic...?

5. ??? If the fans stayed quiet, Dokyeom's image would become warmer but they are just going out there to ruin it;;; I don't even know what's the issue here despite reading the post a few times;;;

6. Why is she apologizing...?

7. The fans are making such a big deal out of thisㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I'm so scared of celebrities that I wouldn't even be near them

8. The male idols' fans are making a f*cking huge deal out of nothing once again. These kids who are crazy about men are disgusting

9. Why why?? I'm a fan of SEVENTEEN and Dokyeom is my bias but I just found that super cute and saved it. They are living such tiring lives and are acting so pathetic in this new year

10. The only solution is not to mesh yourself with male idols nor their fans. If you're trying to be understanding, it will just hurt your head
