Details have emerged about K-Pop: Lost in America (working title), a large-scale K-pop film being produced by director Yoon Je-kyun in collaboration with a Hollywood producer.
In August of last year, CJ ENM announced that Yoon Je-kyun, the blockbuster director behind Ode to My Father and Haeundae, would be teaming up with renowned Hollywood producer Lynda Obst, known for Interstellar and Sleepless in Seattle, to create a global film centered on K-pop.
According to film industry insiders, the movie, currently in script development, will follow a fictional 5-member idol group called ALL4U, on the verge of their global debut. Riding a wave of popularity in Korea, the group is set to perform their dream concert at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York.
However, instead of arriving in New York, they mistakenly land in a rural town in Texas. With only two days left until their performance and no money or language skills, the story unfolds as a youthful, musical road movie about ALL4U’s journey across an unfamiliar America to reach New York.

That's roughly what the movie is about, and at one point an old-looking casting sheet circulated online, which caused a bit of a stir on forums.
