Min Heejin, who appeared in court for questioning, stated, “I did not pressure Hanni to attend the audit.”
Last year, Hanni said during a YouTube live that a manager from another artist told her to “ignore her,” which led NewJeans fans to file a complaint with the Ministry of Employment and Labor. She then appeared as a witness at the Environment and Labor Committee’s National Assembly audit in October, where she spoke about the harm she experienced.
Min said, “NewJeans members have judgment and are very smart. They’re not the type to blindly follow someone’s orders,” and added, “I actually felt bad that Hanni was going alone, so I even asked if I should go with her. Please don’t treat the girls like they’re stupid.”

Regarding claims that she was behind NewJeans’ declaration to terminate their exclusive contract with ADOR, Min said, “The NewJeans members are incredibly smart. They’re not kids who obey someone’s orders,” and added, “I feel deeply humiliated. I never pushed them to do anything.”

Min also spoke about conversations she had with NewJeans’ parents after ILLIT’s debut teaser was released.
She said, “After the ILLIT teaser came out, the parents called me saying, ‘Why isn’t our kid in this?’, because it looked so similar to NewJeans.”
She also added, “When NewJeans was transferred from Source Music to ADOR, there was already resentment because they were moved like luggage without explanation.”

That I could lead the company with my ideas, not that I could own it. I can’t make it my property, so how could it mean that? This is just a difference between a creator’s brain and a lawyer’s brain.”
She continued, “People who focus on money might interpret it that way, but I wasn’t talking about profit or personal gain. I’ve taken so many losses over the years, I was simply talking about a situation where I’m not losing out, and where my influence comes from my creative ability. The ‘domination’ I referred to was purely creative dominance.”
HYBE countered, “If you think about it logically, with ADOR’s profits rising, demanding that HYBE exercise the put option at 20 times the operating profit would mean HYBE might not be able to afford it. Then, conversely, you could demand that HYBE sell ADOR to you. That can reasonably be interpreted as you saying you could take over the company.”
