[theqoo] EVEN PEOPLE OVERSEAS ARE MAKING FUN OF BTS' "260K" ATTENDEES (FT. SBS AND 22K AUDIENCE)

Koreans are saying, "If HYBE had done the entire show at their own expense, they wouldn't have faced this much backlash from the public."

Because the company is done for, it's not the company getting slammed or embarrassed, it's the idols, right?"

It would have been fine if they'd just rented a regular venue, but they closed off Gwanghwamun, issued disaster alerts, kept running Netflix ads, broadcast it live, and made such a big fuss that the reaction seems to be negative both at home and abroad.

1. K-pop's embarrassment

2. Now, the whole world knows that they are just using the 'famous for being famous' know-how (T/N: reference to Bang Sihyuk's previous interview. His strategy is to just make BTS famous for being famous even if people don't understand why they're famous)

3. A real national embarrassment

4. But those seats over there are reserved for ticket holders, so 22,000 is correct. There were people around who didn't appear in the video, they just couldn't be seen

5. So embarrassing

6. I'm embarrassed for them

7. Voluntary disclosure to the whole world of their 'famous for being famous' strategy

8. Humiliating

9. Embarrassing.. a national embarrassment

10. Thanks to the Netflix livestream, they proved it to the whole world ㅋㅋㅋ

[theqoo] SBS JUST DISMISSED THE REPORTS OF 100K OR 260K FROM OTHER MEDIA OUTLETS AND JUST REPORTED 20K FOR BTS' AUDIENCE AT GWANGHWAMUNㄷㄷ

3. Only that place is using facts

4. Seems like Bang-sshi didn't pay them

5. 👍

6. Oh, oops

7. It's my first time seeing a factㅋㅋㅋㅋ

8. They are the only place working properly

9. So they haven't gotten paid?

10. A genuine media

[theqoo] I BET THAT BANGTAN COULDN'T EVEN FILL UP 22K SEATS

original post: here

1. That's reality

2. ㅋ

3. What a disgrace

4. If they were at least good on stage, they could've covered it up

5. That's basically a no-show

6. I get it. BTS isn't popular anymore and other groups are doing better, so just go away already. I'm sick of this. Go live a normal life. What kind of madness is this?

7. It looks more like 6K people, I don't even think there are 10K here

8. I'm not really a fan, but I booked a ticket to go anyway. When I heard that hundreds of thousands of people were going to show up, I got scared and tried to cancel the day before, but I couldn't. Reading this post, I feel bad that I couldn't cancel in advance. I'm sure there were a lot of fans who didn't manage to get tickets either

9. It's not like everything up until now was just a bubble, but I think their domestic popularity did take a hit due to the scandals involving members during their hiatus and the agency's incredibly suspicious behavior. As for overseas fans, I don't think many would be willing to fly over just to watch a one-hour concert, no matter how much of a comeback it is.
Anyway, the bottom line is that it wasn't that bad, so the national uproar is really frustrating. With public opinion already so negative, they insisted on pushing it through anyway, and now that this is the outcome, they can't help but get criticized..

10. When it comes to a comeback concert marking the end of a hiatus for the full lineup after several years, die-hard fans will go to any lengths, whether it's dealing with traffic restrictions or body searches, just to catch even five minutes of the show. The fact that there aren't actually that many hardcore fans willing to go to such lengths just goes to show everything
