Min Dohee appeared on the SBS variety show “My Lazy Little Baby,” which aired on the 26th, and shared a glimpse into her daily life.
Min Dohee saw a part-time job posting for a cafe near her home and called to apply herself. She explained, “I have about a year and three months of experience working at a cafe,” but was turned down because she had no experience working the closing shift. At another place, her application was rejected because they were “looking for long-term employees.”
As the rejections continued, Min Dohee contacted the owner of a cafe where she had previously worked and confided, “I’m looking for a part-time job in the neighborhood since I have some time between the end of this musical and my next production, but it’s not easy.” In response, the cafe owner warmly encouraged her, saying, “You’ll do well wherever you go.”
MC Shin Dongyup, who had been watching Min Dohee actively search for a part-time job, remarked, “It’s not easy for her to find a part-time job because so many people recognize her. I’m so proud of her.”
Min Dohee’s mother explained, “Her self-esteem had dropped significantly after going through a long slump,” adding, “I told her to just go out and try anywhere, and since she started working, she seems to have regained her vitality and restored much of her self-esteem.”
Baro and Kim Sung-kyun, who starred alongside Min Dohee in the tvN drama 'Reply 1994', paid a visit to her home. Baro drew attention when he said, “When I told Hojun hyung she was working a part-time job, he got upset and cried.”
Min Dohee recalled the moment, saying, “We decided to meet up on short notice after a long time, so I went over after finishing my part-time job. When he asked, ‘What were you doing?’ I replied, ‘I was working part-time.’ He had a drink too, but he cried while saying, ‘Why do you have to work part-time?’” She added, “Seeing him cry brought tears to my eyes as well.”
Kim Seong-gyun said, “Hojun was very worried because Dohee didn’t answer his calls for several days after that,” adding, “He was worried that she might have been hurt because he cried.” Min Dohee explained, “My cell phone broke, so I couldn’t answer calls while I was getting a new one, but after I activated the new one, I saw I had received a lot of missed calls. I was really surprised.”

1. If I had a friend who wasn't able to work at their main job anymore so they resorted to work at a cafe, I'd be sad for them too
2. I hope she finds a good project, I support her
3. Everyone here looks like a good person... I'm shocked at how mean people are in the comments;;
4. But I wonder why things didn't work out for her? Maybe her character's image was too strong?
5. But to be the lead in projects nowadays, you need to be the top 1%. It's hard to have a long-run career
6. So she's working part-time because there are no auditions? She's not waiting for a casting offer, right??;;;;;
7. It's sad that she can't find a full-time job and have to rely on part-time work to make ends meet, no? If her main job were something like a cafécafeowner, manager, or full-time employee (like at Starbucks), it wouldn't be a big deal, but for this person, part-time work isn't her main job... In that sense, it's true that most young people who are job-hunting while working part-time are in a tough spot, I've been there myself.
8. There are people who made it big through their main careers, but since she hasn't landed a role in the next project, I think this is something someone might say out of regret. It's not that the person voluntarily chose to just work part-time jobs to make a living though. She's fully capable and determined, but since things aren't working out, it's meant to convey, "You're not the type of person who should be wasting your talent like this here."
9. Her job is to be an actress. If she keeps working part-time jobs, of course it's a sad thing. What's wrong with everyone
10. If an ordinary person says they’re working a part-time job because they couldn’t land a job while job hunting, people usually offer words of encouragement, but here, there are a lot of people who look down on her for some reason
