Actor Lee Minho opened up about how, now that he is in his mid-30s, he has been learning how to live on his own.

During the episode, Shin Dongyup asked Lee Minho curiously, “Minho, you’ve never gone to a restaurant by yourself to eat, have you?”

Lee Minho replied, “I often eat by myself when I’m in Japan. A few years ago, I started changing my habits because I wanted to try enjoying being alone.”

In particular, Lee Minho revealed that it was only two or three years ago that he first went to an airport by himself, which caught the others’ attention. Ryu Hyeyoung reacted with surprise, saying, “That’s kind of amazing. How did you even live like that?”

Lee Minho explained, “I never really had a reason to go anywhere alone. It wasn’t that I intentionally chose to live that way, but naturally, there were always people around me who would take care of things for me, and I always had friends around.”

He continued, “Once I got into my mid-30s, I realized that if I didn’t get used to spending time by myself, it could become difficult. That’s when I started traveling alone, too. At first, it felt really awkward. Even in Japan, I felt self-conscious and uncomfortable being alone for no particular reason. But now, I’m completely comfortable with it.”

Kim Dae-myung said that he was already quite comfortable doing things alone. “I think I’ve tried pretty much everything. People say going to a Korean barbecue restaurant alone is the ultimate test, but aside from going to a buffet alone, I’ve done it all.”

Hearing this, Lee Minho said, “I still have that side of me. I’m the type of person who feels happier when I eat with someone and we can enjoy how delicious the food is together, rather than eating alone. I’ve realized that wherever I go, I’m someone who is influenced by who I’m going with.”

Kim Dae-myung added, “As you get older, your friends get married and it becomes harder to make plans, so I think eating alone becomes an alternative.”
