"I did have nightmares. But now... I think it's time to tell this story. It's the first time I've spoken about this in my career as a singer. I was diagnosed with malignant lymphoma when I was in the fourth grade of elementary school. I had a persistent cough, so at first I thought it was just a cold and didn't take it seriously. However, while playing soccer, I took four or five steps and suddenly I couldn't breathe. Later, I found out at the hospital that it was cancer."

Evan: The treatment process was really not easy, but seeing my mother constantly caring for me, I wanted to show her a bright side of myself. Whenever events like patient recitals were held at the hospital, I would play the guitar and even MC. Although I had dreamed of becoming a singer since I was six, honestly, back then, I didn't even have time to think about my dream. Watching my friends pass away, I thought a lot, 'I want to live so much, I want to go home!' Fortunately, I finished my treatment and returned safely, but it wasn't easy to socialize with my friends. My physical strength had deteriorated significantly, and since my hair was growing back due to chemotherapy, I was teased a lot. Even when my friends would tease me by saying things like, "You look like grass," or "You look like a monk," I accepted it all because I wanted to be close to them. Starting in middle school, I started making friends easily, but I wasn't as energetic as before, and I became introverted. Thinking about it again makes my heart ache for the first time in a long while. (Laughs)
